The kids had lots of fun at the United Nations Program that their school hosted on Wednesday October 21st. Leanna represented the country of Argentina from the continent of South America thus we chose a nice fru fru dress that of course showed her belly (that was her idea by the way) complete with a head piece that had some fruits on it. She looked so cute in it but she did not wear it the whole time because she was complaining that it hurt her head. Leon represented the country of the United Kingdom from the continent of Europe and he was dressed as a gladiator (an outfit from the old school, but that's what he wanted to wear)!! Both of their costumes were custom made for them but we rented them as they will not be wearing them again.
Leanna was the co-emcee of the event so that is why you will see pictures of her on the stage with one of the teachers. We practiced for 5 days straight on her memorizing her script and she did a wonderful job. She spoke well and she did it loud and slowly. Both Leon and Leanna did a hip-hop number along with their classmates and the grand finale was "Heal the World" by Michael Jackson complete with hand movements. They both did a wonderful job and I am so proud of them.
